What Life Actually Feels Like Here

Crosby keeps its small-town identity front and center — the kind of place with one big annual event everyone shows up for, and a history quirky enough to make a good story.

  • The Crosby Fair & Rodeo — an 80-year-old community tradition (est. 1946) with a rodeo, youth fair, concerts, and a barbecue cook-off
  • A dining scene leaning Tex-Mex, barbecue, and Southern comfort food, plus small local shopping centers and boutiques
  • A history dating to an 1823 settlement originally called “Lick Skillet,” later Gentry, then Crosby (1877) — and briefly “Hope, TX” for 19 days in 1953
  • An unincorporated, close-knit community feel rather than big-city sprawl
